Meaningful and impactful observation techniques can assist teachers of young children with planning, assessment, and building relationships with the children in their programs. Using observation to plan personalized interactions with young children are vital to their overall development. This session will explore the various observation techniques used with children and the relationship between impactful observation and the development of developmentally appropriate curricula and assessment strategies. Additionally, techniques for preparing meaningful and detailed observation notes will be shared and practiced.
