Educators must help children understand themselves, others, and how we can all come together in our communities. These facilitated conversations must include our internal and external identities, the identities of others, and how our identity can influence our experiences. These conversations will help us to understand the diverse perspectives in our communities, and begin to facilitate real understandings of how to change oppressive systems in our communities.
